Warning: Always supervise your dog when chewing. Make sure plenty of water is available to your dog. Use Collagen Rolls with Hold-a-Chew (chew stick holder) to prevent choking. Intended as a chew, do not use as food.
Great sturdy chew stick holder Our dog tends to swallow large pieces of chew sticks when they get down to the end. Thus, causing us great panic when she chokes on them. I don't want to have to go down her throat to retrieve them. So, I avoided giving them to her for the past 5 years. Then I purchased the "Hold-a-Chew" in the large. Now she safely enjoys the bully and calogen check sticks once again. The holder keeps that last larger piece in place so she can't woof it down. Brilliant invention!

Not worth the cost for my German shepherd! I watch my dog closely when she’s chewing on toys. This Hold-a-chew didn’t last 20 minutes before the material was showing signs of serious bite marks and small pieces that were starting to wear off. Waste of money. I had to throw it away for fear that it was going to come off in pieces for my dog to eat! The material is not tough enough.

The good news is the Hold-a-Chew did exactly what it is supposed to do. It is made of a nylon polymer that will give way before the dogs teeth do. Many products like deer antlers are very hard and agressive chewers end up breaking teeth. That happened to my oldest dog which is one of the reasons I founded Chew Works.
For agressive chewers like your dog, I have a couple of recommendations. Take the Hold-a-Chew away from your dog when the chew stick gets down to the nub, some dogs like to chew on just the holder. You can also file down any sharp edges from chewing to add longevity.
